If you could be a champion in any sport what sport would it be?
I'd be a surfer! I used to BEG my parents to move to Hawaii and become a surfer girl. They refused so I compromised and bought a penny board. My dreams were short lived when 5 minutes after leaving the store, I fell, the board slipped onto the road and a truck completely obliterated it. And that’s the story of how my dreams got crushed (literally) and how I never became a surfer or a skater. But the dream still lives on.
If you could solve one mystery, what would it be?
Where all my hair ties disappear to.
What do you admire the most in people?
I admire those who have a positive outlook on life. I am attracted to doers and people who don’t see challenges as excuses but rather opportunities.
Who would you love to walk a runway show for?
Alexander McQueen!!!
Best Vogue cover of all time?
So many to choose from. But I would have to say the March 1966 British Vogue cover staring Donyale Luna. Not only is the cover visually beautiful but it was also the first time an African American woman was to grace the cover which in some sense represented the fashion industry’s first step toward diversity.
